Julian Righetti (or Regetti), who had owned a stone cottage in Church Street from 1872, purchased this land for £25 in 1882, when land sales followed Didier Joubert’s death (see Figtree Area). This land was part of the old sandstone quarry owned by Joubert. Righetti paid the first rates on this house in 1885, and his daughter lived here until 1981. Righetti died before the back part of the house was completed.
