This house was built by Gabriel de Milhau (see Paraza), who occupied it in 1861. By 1864 Lady Jamison was its owner, and from 1868 to 1877 Rebecca Chepmill owned it and lived here. In 1878 she let the house to George Blaxland when she moved to Melbourne.
