Patrick O’Rourke was a quarryman who bought this land in 1887, although the house was apparently not built before 1893. It was sold in 1924 to Frederick Ambrosoli, whose uncle John Ambrosoli was the first person to live in Herberton Avenue according to Sands Directory of 1884.
