This house is said to have been a wedding present for Charles Edward Jeanneret’s youngest child, Florence Jeanneret Hull; the brass taps are marked with the waterboard stamp and the date 1896 but Sands Directory (which shows occupants) does not confirm this date. The Hulls were first listed as living here in 1909, calling it Wyralla, after the Jeanneret property on the Richmond River. The house shows a transition towards the Federation style; while still built of stone, the woodwork trim is geometrical, shingles have been introduced and the roof line broken up into various angles. Additions were made in the 1970s.
