Built in 1875 for Elijah Green, grocer, this house became the residence of Walter Cuneo, whose family lived here into the 1970s. The 1915 Rate Book listed the property as Walter Cuneo’s, valued at £450. This style is characteristic of cottage architecture; two rooms on either side of a central hall, front verandah with dished or bull-nosed roof, iron roof. Often windows have been enlarged into doors and iron lace trim added later.
