Constructed for Charles E. Greaves by Architects Waterhouse & Lake in 1916, this eclectic early 20th century two-storey dwelling has Arts & Crafts and Georgian Revival style influences. The house is essentially a white rectangle capped with a low-pitched hipped roof, clad with orange terracotta Marseilles pattern tiles. White roughcast render covers the walls down to a low brick base course. The building is prominently sited to overlook the Parramatta River and is of a scale, age and style which is unusual on the peninsula.
