Oscar Schulze, an engineer, built this house and was listed as living here in 1887. By 1890, Mrs E. Heron was here in Rossel, but Schulze was back from 1893. Sands Directory shows Dr Georg Irmer, Consul General for Germany, here in 1910-11. Burnham is unusual in Henley for its three-storey tower and other Italianate features.
